Our toolkits and guides provide resources to help you improve your programs, tackle problems, and work with the media. While some of our materials are available to the general public, most of our toolkits are available only to members of Sister Cities International. To gain access to MEMBERS ONLY materials, use your password. If your community is not a member and would like to join Sister Cities International, please contact our membership department. If you have questions about using toolkit materials, please contact us or talk to your state coordinator.

This toolkit contains general information about Sister Cities International, criteria for selecting a sister-city, and the Sister Cities International Membership Program. Learn not only how Sister Cities International membership can contribute to your community, but also how to get things started.

Here members can find information and sample documents useful for active and successful organizations, and those that are looking to improve a new or waning partnership. This tool-kit contains multiple templates for the paperwork involved in correspondence with potential or new Sister Cities.

Assessment Toolkits MEMBERS ONLY
Designed to help improve your sister city program, these toolkits will help you learn how to strengthen and evaluate your sister city program. Learn how to strengthen your organization's membership, communicate effectively with members, develop partnerships, stimulate economic development through your sister city relationship, raise funds, involve people with disabilities and create a successful youth program.

Designed to help local sister city organizations with their fundraising programs, this toolkit includes information on special events, direct mail, foundations and corporations. For more information, contact the development department.

Youth & Education Toolkit MEMBERS ONLY
This toolkit is designed to help members of Sister Cities International effectively recruit and retain the involvement of young people in the sister city movement. Community Summits on Citizen Diplomacy Toolkit PUBLIC
Where will the citizen diplomacy movement go next? This toolkit was developed in 2005 to help our members host Community Summits on Citizen Diplomacy in 2006. This toolkit is now offered as a reference guide for those wanting to hold a community summit to discuss future sister city program priorities. It includes invitation letters, backgrounders, tips on working with the media, checklists and more. For more information, contact the communications department.

50th Anniversary Toolkit PUBLIC
This toolkit was developed in 2005 for use during the 50th Anniversary celebration in 2006. It contains helpful reference materials, fill-in-the-blank press releases, and a sample proclamation.
