Sister Cities International Launches 2010 Annual Conference Website

Site a first for the organization, aims to expand citizen diplomacy network

WASHINGTON, DC — Sister Cities International announced today the launch of its first Annual Conference website. The site will serve as the main hub of information for the organization's July 29-31, 2010 event in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Visit www.sister-cities.org/conference to view the site.

"This site will provide members and the general public with a wide range of information about our Annual Conference," said Patrick Madden, President and CEO, Sister Cities International. Expecting more than 700 attendees from 30 countries, Sister Cities International will host its Annual Conference in Albuquerque, returning to that city for the first time in over a decade. Attendees will include municipal officials, business executives, civic leaders, volunteers and youth from around the U.S. and the globe.

Representing more than 2,000 communities in 136 countries, Sister Cities International is a citizen diplomacy network creating and strengthening partnerships between the U.S. and communities abroad. Sister Cities International member communities focus their people-to-people exchanges on programs in sustainable development, youth and education, arts and culture, humanitarian assistance and economic growth.
