Cyber Sisters: Virtual Signing between Lockport, IL and Asiago, Italy

Has your city been interested in officially establishing a sister city partnership but been unable to schedule the logistics of physically sending or receiving a delegation? Lockport, Illinois instituted their first sister city with Asiago, Italy via Skype on October 3, 2014, allowing them to virtually connect with their new sibling before receiving a future delegation!

New Sister City Revitalizes Local Membership

Concord, North Carolina has had a prosperous sister city relationship with Killarney, Ireland for over two decades. In an effort to liven up their local membership, Concord decided to embark on a new city seeking adventure.

Sister Cities International honored to be a part of the U.S.-China Strategic Dialogue Outcomes

Sister Cities International is honored to be a part of this year’s U.S.-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue outcomes. This past week, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and Chinese State Councilor Yang Jiechi chaired the Fifth Round of the U.S.-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue where they discussed major bilateral, regional, and global issues.
