TEDxCincinnati “Every Citizen a Diplomat”

TEDxCincinnati "Every Citizen a Diplomat" will take place at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center’s Harriet Tubman Theater in Cincinnati, OH, the day before the start of the 2012 Sister Cities International Midwest Regional Conference.
The goal of the presentations is to encourage everyday citizens to consider how they represent and can influence opinions on a global scale. Topics will look at what it means to be a “citizen diplomat” and aim to stimulate discussion on the importance of cultural understanding, diversity and international relationship building in creating a strong community. The event will aim to inspire the community on new ways to engage in cultural understanding activities and people-to-people diplomacy.
TEDx talks are independently organized events in the spirit of TED's mission "ideas worth spreading."
