Contribute Your Stories to the 50th Anniversary Commemorative Book
Celebrate half-a-century of memories from overseas friendships, exchanges, partnerships and life-changing experiences!
In honor of the 50th Anniversary, Butler Books and Sister Cities International are collaborating to create and publish Peace through People: 50 Years of Global Citizenship, a commemorative book of memorable sister city stories. Don't be left out of the history book. Get your stories in the first publication detailing the comprehensive Sister Cities International story.
Members are invited to submit:
Photographs - Action photos are preferred. All photos should have captions identifying place, people, occasion and date.
Great Stories - Send in your memories, anecdotes, features about your organization's activities, outstanding individuals and award winning programs.
Please download the 50th Anniversary Book and Photo submission to submit your stories and photographs. These submission forms contain important guidelines for crafting an excellent story and finding the most exciting photographs. Also see the story sample "Exporting Arts. Importing Culture."as an excellent guideline before you begin writing. Please note each submission should be no more then 500 words and may be edited if necessary. Please submit no more than 5 stories and 10 photos for each of your community's sister cities.

It is assumed that all submitted photos and stories have been cleared and approved for publication. Not all photo submissions will be used. Please include a self-addressed stamped envelope if you want submissions returned.
