Qualifications

• 22 or older on July 16, 2008 
• Previous facilitation or teaching experience
• Prior involvment with the sister city or citizen diplomacy movement
• Organized, with strong student management and logistical skills
  
• Must participate in a conference call training session, Saturday May 31, 2008. 
• Available from the evening of July 15, 2008 through the morning of July 20, 2008
• Motivated to work challenging youth conference hours: 8am - 11pm.
  

Preferred:

• Experience facilitating cross-cultural discussions
• Background or interest in community service
• International experience
• 2nd language ability
  

Responsibilities

• Teach one 1 1/2 hour workshop each day
• Facilitate discussions preceeding and following each activity
• Guide youth as they learn about international community service
• Create a cohesive context for the conference: combining citizen diplomacy, community service, the sister cities movement, and the fun of meeting new people
• Responsible for well-being of about 20 students
• Work as a team member to make sure the conference runs smoothly

Compensation

• $340 stipend
