Qualifications
- 22 or older on July 16, 2008
- Previous facilitation or teaching experience
- Prior involvment with the sister city or citizen diplomacy movement

Organized, with strong student management and logistical skills
- Must participate in a conference call training session, Saturday May 31, 2008.
- Available from the evening of July 15, 2008 through the morning of July 20, 2008
- Motivated to work challenging youth conference hours: 8am - 11pm.
- Experience facilitating cross-cultural discussions
- Background or interest in community service
- International experience
- 2nd language ability
Responsibilities
- Teach one 1 1/2 hour workshop each day
- Facilitate discussions preceeding and following each activity
- Guide youth as they learn about international community service
- Create a cohesive context for the conference: combining citizen diplomacy, community service, the sister cities movement, and the fun of meeting new people
- Responsible for well-being of about 20 students
- Work as a team member to make sure the conference runs smoothly
Compensation
- $340 stipend
- room & board
- round-trip flight to Kansas City
