Human Geography Experiential Learning

The Harrison Middleton University recognizes and encourages experiential learning. Credit is granted only for experiential learning and not from experience per se. Such learning must be at the college level and documented through evaluation by the College with adequate verification and supervision by qualified faculty.

Your Sister Cities International exchange program experience combined with this course has been approved by the Harrison Middleton University as an opportunity to earn credit. Ideally, research for this course will be done before, during, and after the Sister Cities exchange program. The goals of the Human Geography course include researching the human geography topics and ideas such as: Change, Citizen, Evolution, Form, Government, History, Nature, Science, Space, State, Time, Wealth, and World, completing your Sister Cities exchange program, and completing a series of discussions with a Tutor from the Harrison Middleton University. (3 Credit Hours)

The particular topics studied in this course, taken from the College Board's Advanced Placement Human Geography course, should be judged in light of the following five college-level goals that build on the National Geography Standards developed in 1994.
